As an organisation, Academy are driven by the people - our clients, our candidates and our staff. Here is a brief intoduction to our management team who ensure that our customers receive an outstanding service throughout the whole recruitment life-cycle.
Paul is an experienced sales and business developer with an established background in the social care and healthcare sectors. In his early career he experienced sales as a national account manager in the manufacturing industry – this gave him first hand experience of managing large scale customer accounts with many high profile clients and the management of a large team. His 12 year career in recruitment providing temporary and permanent staff includes time in sales, marketing, finance and operational sectors before becoming a specialist in health and social care.
Prior to joining Synarbor Paul acted as an Area Manager for a Healthcare recruitment business, working very closely with a range of healthcare and social care clients including the NHS. He is close to the safeguarding and legislative requirements in those sectors as a result and well as the differing types of contractual arrangements that exist to service this challenging client group. Paul leads the social care teams at Synarbor and has responsibility for operational delivery for Academy Social Care and Action First. He manages a large team of consultants and resourcers and has worked directly with many key clients in the sector. Paul also has responsibility for the quality of all service delivered from his teams and drives high levels of customer and client care into the business.
Dean established his early career in sales and customer care in the communications sector. He acted in senior roles on major accounts and helped launch new products and services to clients. He moved to the healthcare sector in 2004 and has consolidated his career providing recruitment services to clients in health and social care.
Prior to joining Academy Dean spent time with recruitment agencies specialising in the nursing market. He is experienced at managing teams of permanent and temporary consultants and has managed out of hours support for clients.
He also brings international experience in recruitment to his work and has worked effectively with sales team overseas providing staff for the UK market. Within Synarbor Dean leads Academy Social Care and is responsible for ensuring that all client and candidate expectations are met by the team of consultants. He is experienced in providing staff through a range of contractual arrangements including frameworks and sole supplier contracts.
Paul began his Recruitment career at ECI International almost 10 years ago, placing high level contract staff on IT projects throughout the UK and Europe.
After honing his recruitment skills within this sector, Paul made the move into Healthcare in mid 2004, initially working within the Allied Health field, before moving into nursing approximately 3 years ago. His most recent position before joining Synarbor was as a Branch Manager for a leading healthcare recruiter in Eastern England – during this role, Paul won "Manager of the Year" at the company’s yearly awards ceremony, beating over 100 individuals to the coveted award.
Paul joined Synarbor in June 2009 with the remit of starting up the newest division within the group; Healthcare, where he is supplying nursing, care and management staff on a permanent, temporary and interim basis.
